An Invitation to the 2nd Inter-ethnic Learning Community
Building a truly inter-ethnic church requires more than a conference: it takes courage and commitment over a period of time; it takes being willing to be honest, to examine and work on different aspects of our shared life together, so that everyone, no matter their ethnicity or background, can find a place of true belonging, a place where their gifts, callings and contributions are truly welcome, where they can flourish.
At the second learning community on 10th May 2025, we will be exploring the theme: “Caring Pastorally for one another in an Inter-Ethnic Church.” Revd Wale Hudson-Roberts will be our main contributor. Wale is minister at John Bunyan Baptist Church, a multicultural church in Oxford. He is also BUGB’s Justice Enabler.
Your church is welcome to join in, even if you have not attended previous gatherings. Come in the company of an ethnically diverse group of about 5 people who will be your primary conversation partners during the day. Your church joining in will assume your commitment to attending the remaining learning communities which will be held on 15th November 2025 and 9th May 2026 (venues to be decided).
