Reaching Out to the Stranger

ReachAs part of the YBA’s Advent focus on how we can work together and bless refugees, and what our churches are already doing, I was invited by our former Regional Minister the Revd Ernie Whalley to spend some time with the Reach Project.

Reach is a thriving drop-in centre and social hub for asylum seekers and refugees at New North Road Baptist Church in Huddersfield town centre.

I was absolutely amazed by the work that is going on. I heard some moving stories, met some inspirational people and came away feeling well blessed. I hope you enjoy reading these articles and learning about the Project!

The first is the story behind the Reach Project - click here to read - and the second is entitled “A wealth of stories in a church basement.” - click here to read

The team behind the Project simply ask for your prayers. I hope these articles bless you as much as I was blessed!
