NHNA logoThe tribute to Gillian, read by Dani Worthington, headteacher at Moorside Community Primary School, Halifax. said: "She has served many girls throughout her time, not only helping them on the nights they attend but becoming firm friends with them as they have grown up and many still often find themselves turning to her for help.
"She has always put the girls first when in her care and always gone that extra mile to help them grow up into well-rounded young ladies.
"Over the years thousands of young girls and young ladies have attended the Girls' Brigade at Lee Mount and have benefited from Gillian’s guidance and love. Gillian has also worked at district and national level giving her all for the benefit of youngsters."
